Ergonomic Product/Furniture Trial Prior to Purchasing

Ergonomic Product Loaner Process

Purpose:
Enable UCSB employees to try ergonomic products prior to purchasing. Products will be loaned at the discretion of the Ergonomics @ Work Program Coordinators and include alternative keyboards and mice, dual connectors, and ergonomics accessories. All other UCSB recommended ergonomic products may be tested in the Ergonomic Resource Centers by appointment.

Employees:

  1. Products may be loaned from the Ergonomic Resource Center for one week.

  2. The Ergo Center is located in the Business Services office at SAASB, Room 3203 and open on Wednesdays between 8:00 and 11:30 a.m.

  3. When the required product is available, complete all information and sign the loan sheet. Note: Dept. Charge Back # required for all loans.

  4. Please bring back the product the following Wednesday between 8 and 11:30 a.m.

  5. If you are not available during that time, please contact the Ergo Center to set up a separate appointment to return the product, or drop off at Business Services reception desk.

  6. If the product has not been returned within one week, the Ergo Center will send reminder email with cc to your manager.

  7. If the product is not returned the following week, the cost of the product will be charged back to your department – NO EXCEPTIONS.

  8. If the required product is on loan at the time of your request, the Ergo Center will place you on a waiting list and contact you via email as soon as the product is available for you.
