The Billing Office provides 3 different types of payment plans for students:
The plans allow students to spread out their balance due in either 1, 2, or 3 installments depending on the plan. Visit our form section for current Payment Plan Agreement Forms. The Financial Aid plan will allow the student to defer their BARC account balance, up to the amount of pending financial aid, for a period of one month. For example, if a student owes $2200.00, and their pending financial aid is $2300, the student may defer the entire $2200 balance for a period of one month, until the pending financial aid arrives. For the Financial Aid plan, the student must attach a copy of his/her financial aid award letter, that may be obtained by the student, from the Financial Aid website at www.finaid.ucsb.edu. If a graduate student has pending graduate aid, such as fellowships or fee remission, the student may enroll in the Financial Aid/Graduate Aid plan. Graduate students must provide proof of pending awards. The General Plan is available to students who are not receiving financial aid. The student may defer 2/3 of their fees only, to be payable in two installments (one per month). As a down payment, the student must pay 1/3 of their fees, plus any other amounts owing. The TA Plan is for students employed as TAs on the campus. Students in the TA plan are allowed to defer their BARC balance, payable in three monthly installments. Students must provide proof of their employment. Students are charged $25.00 to enroll in a payment plan. Students may now access their BARC account and obtain their balance, online at https://mybarc.ucsb.edu.
